The following are the customs of Yartzeit observance:

Yartzeit Candle - A 24 hour candle should be lit on the evening before the Yartzeit date.

Aliya L'Torah - The son or the closest male relative should arrange to be called up to the Torah on the Shabbat before the date of the Yartzeit.

Kaddish - The traditional Kaddish should be recited in the Synagogue during the prayer services on the evening before, the morning of, and afternoon services. Kaddish should be recited by the son or the closest male relative. If no one is available to say Kaddish, please respond to this email.
