Update the Addressee Field for your Mailing Labels

How to Update the Addressee Field for your Mailing Labels

When printing mailing labels the CRM uses the customers 'addressee' field, which is a field that can be found on the contact's summary page.

In order to make all your mailing labels look the same, you can update all of your contacts addressee's to one of the joint greetings.

  1. Choose one of the joint greetings from the table below to use for your mailing labels.
  2. Navigate to Administer > Communications > Addressee Formats.
  3. Click to Add Addressee Type.
  4. Enter the Joint Token you selected as the Label.
  5. Check the box next to Default Option.
  6. Select the Contact Type > Individual
  7. Then hit Save.

Now that you have created a new addressee field and set it as the default option all contacts entered into the CRM going forward will have this new addressee, but we still have not updated all the old contacts to the new addressee you created. In order to update all your contacts follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to Administer > System Settings > Scheduled Jobs.

  3. Click to Edit the job
  4. By the Command parameters copy and paste this text:
    ct=Individual
    gt=addressee
    force=1
  5. Then hit Save.
